Im 17 and im planning to move to a city to start a new life after I graduate from high school. I really want to know what Minneapolis MN is like, its economy, universities and houses and apartment?
OK to answer some of the previous messages, im moving from Texas. Round Rocks economy is very poor and i apply for many store like HEB. Walmart and Starbucks and most of these stores im trying to apply for a part time are not hiring until-which will take a VERY long time to get its economy back on track.Thats why its really depressing to live there. Thats why im thinking about moving to Mpls for better job opportunities. O and plus, Minneapolis is on the top 10 for the least stressful US cities(look it up)

I am from Arlington Texas and I would much rather live here as I have a yard and a Chev. Surburban, and live in a more religious area (hardly any Christians in New York, I have never been there but it’s obvious because they vote Democrat). I don’t have to live in some dumb apartment building, my standard of living is much better than that city. I think anyone who would want to live in New York is just a liberalist elite snob. They don’t know how much better I have it.
Can someone please tell me why they are dumb enough to live there? Please don’t bring up "culture". I don’t have the desire to deal with pseudointellectual persuits such as going to art theaters filled with hippies, or deal with modern art. So it’s of little value to me and most people who aren’t fake.
Mike, by Religious I meant saved (I.E., Christians)
Kourtney: New York City, Not New york state. I’m sure it’s classier where you live.

I just moved to LA and I’m looking for an apartment. Originally, I was planning on looking for something near my place of work in Woodland Hills, but mostly it’s either non-optimal neighborhoods or far-too-rich neighborhoods around there. I’m looking instead to live near a friend in Hollywood, but I need to know how long it would take me to commute in the morning, on the 101, from the Hollywood area to the Topanga exit. (Roughly, of course — I realize this will be affected by weather/accidents, and how far south on the 101 I go. But a normal morning’s drive is what I’m looking for.)

I’m looking for an accommodation in Miami. It’s good even to share an apartment but only with females. Where can I see? I saw some website but I have to pay to use them. Others ideas?

I am thinking to live in a motel for long term if it’s cheaper than just rent a apartment myself in Florida.
Have anyone ever lived in motel before?
Is week or monthly rate different than rate per nights?
I know it’s depend on a motel but I just want to know in general.

I’m planning on moving to Las Vegas from Southern California. I hear that there are motels downtown that offer weekly and monthly rates. How much should I plan on spending? I would want to stay in a motel to find a job and find an apartment.
If I stay in a motel for a month and I realize that Las Vegas is not my cup of tea I can move back to Southern California.
Currently I’m a 27 year old unemployed male.

I like a sweet, feminine look with cardigans, skirts, and flats. Any ideas? Thanks!
Oh, and I liked how the character of Lena dressed in "Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants" and the final outfit that Meg Ryan wore in "You’ve Got Mail." Also, if this makes any sense at all, I’d like a style that matches Mandy Moore’s apartment in "Because I Said So." Thanks again!
