We’re staying at Tsim Sha Tsui and would like to have breakfast at the Disney Hollywood hotel before going to the park. How do we get there?
A quick look at the city of Los Angeles, what to do and where to go if your visiting.
I was recently in San Diego on a leisure trip, just wanted to check it out. It is a beautiful city. I also took a one day side trip to LA just to see it because I’ve never been there before, and driving up Interstate 5 into LA, I could see the smog all around the city, it was absolutely nasty. It smelled like exhaust fumes on the entire freeway. I ended up taking the 101 to Sunset Blvd straight into Beverly Hills, which I wanted to see. The heart of beverly hills (Rodeo dr,Wilshire) are absolutely beautiful. But when I jumped onto Santa Monica Blvd through Hollywood back to the 101, it was nasty, nothing like I thought it would be. Other than if you live in Beverly Hills and the other wealthyareas(Bel Aire, Brentwood, Malibu etc.), what is the attraction of this city? It was dirty, traffic was horrible, and overall it was just a disgusting city. San Diego is much more beautiful.
Californication films in a lot of cool spots around L.A.. I like partying in Hollywood and would like to hang out in the lounge and maybe get a room there. It appears to be somewhere right off of Sunset in WeHo. The hotel room has a cool loft where the bed is and has a balcony that overlooks Sunset.
I am going on a trip to California with some friends and I want to know what hotel, or what area of Los Angeles is close to the following places… I know alot of these may be very far apart, but if there is any area or hotel closer to most of them it would be greatly appreciated. Disneyland, the Hollywood Sign, Walk of Fame, Paramount Studios, Six Flags, Knotts Berry Farm, Griffith Observatory, and the Aquarium of the Pacific. These are just some ideas of places we are going to go, but once someone gives me a good central area or hotel to stay in, I can figure it all out using a map.
So to sum it up: I need a hotel, or an area of Los Angeles that is close to most of these places, if possible.
Thanks!

I just browsed the local yahoo and found out that there’s a Universal Studio Hollywood in Concord, CA. I just want to find out if this is a themepark just like the themepark attraction located in Universal City in L.A?
The Ramada Hollywood Hotel at 1160 N. Vermont Avenue in Los Angeles charges a day for parking. That’s ridiculous, so I was wondering if anybody knows of free street parking somewhere in the vicinity (that does not require a permit or hassle to move my car….hence, FREE).
My family and I are visiting Los Angeles this July, so I need to know a good hotel for the three of us to stay at. I’m looking for something in either Hollywood or Downtown, but it has to be in a nice, safe location with easy access to local points of interest. (I also want a nice view of the Downtown skyline/Hollywood Hills.) It can’t be too expensive, but we want a room that doesn’t have used syringes in the bedsheets. Any recommendations, leave them here.
(Please refrain from posting travel websites. I want hotel suggestions, not tips.)
